Park was very nice and well-maintained. It looked like it had undergone some major renovations recently. Pool was nice and clean, restrooms were older, but very clean and neat. We over nighted and the next morning, spoke with a woman that was en route to Montana, but had her truck break down a few miles from the park. They called the park about 7 pm for a site, the owners/managers stayed up and waited for them to arrive, helped the tow truck park their TT, then took the husband into town the next morning while the truck was worked on. Took the wife to the store so she could stock up on some groceries. That's service!!

This is a great campground. The staff was fabulous, courteous and could not do enough for you. The sites were concrete and paved with as much room as any campground I have seen in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The showers are individual showers that open to the outside, but are heated. They were very clean as were the bathrooms. The pool in the campground is quite cute and they cleaned it everyday even though it was Thanksgiving and 25 degrees at night. The pool and hot tub at the motel across the street, which we had access too was clean, nice and warm. My only complaint and the reason it got a 9 instead of a 10 was a dog across the street at a residence that barked incessantly from daylight until late in the evenings, around 10 pm. I guess the owners returned home then. I did mention this to the campground clerk that was on duty when we left. She said that she would make sure the campground owner knew about my complaint and others had also complained. Otherwise, this is a wonderful campground, especially when the landscaping gets more mature.

Nice, clean campground, but the sites are VERY tight. Our slide was within 1 foot of our neighbor's awning.

The park is large, has most amenities (no cable), and has the cleanest shower house/restrooms I have ever seen. We were across the street from a bath house, so it was convenient for us to use. We stayed for 2 weeks and were in and out of the bathhouse and NEVER saw as much as a speck of toilet tissue on the floor. We were amazed with as much traffic as the bathhouse saw that it stayed as clean. They did a fantastic job of cleaning at least a couple times a day.

We stayed here for spring break with an 18 yr old girl, 14 yr old boy, 3 yr old girl and 9 month old girl. They all enjoyed the trip. The campground is out of the hustle/bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but is close enough to allow easy access. The campground was quiet (with the exception of some highway traffic noise late at night). There are several permanent sites, but they are well kept. The latest addition to the campground features flat, level sites that are right on the river, but they have no shade yet. The trees that have been planted are still very small, less than 6 feet. Overall, nice quiet campground close to the interstate but still close enough to the action.

We were looking to stay, but with a drive-thru in our tow vehicle without the TT, we decided this was not the place for us. The campground is old and not had a lot of upkeep done to it. There are many campers that seemed to have been parked there for decades with no upkeep. We just kept driving. Don't think I would ever stay there, unless it was a have to case. They may be the friendliest people, but the place just looked derelict.

Love this place. We camp here at least 3 times each year and love it. If they only had a pool and sewer, but I guess that's a little much to ask for in a state park. We have camped here in a tent, a motorhome, in a popup, in a hybrid and now in a TT and have had great success with all of them. Summer is awful for mosquitoes, but they do spray often and it can be very hot and sticky. The beach is beyond compare on the eastern seaboard. It is quiet, beautiful and very clean. Again, love it.
